In the early induction heating equipment, the high-frequency inverter device required by the inverter unit determines the form of the device. It has experienced the development process from electron tubes and thyristors to the current widespread use of IGBT . In the current mainstream IGBT-type induction heating products, there are still many differences in circuits and structures. From the rectifier unit, there are controllable rectification and uncontrollable rectification; from the inverter unit, there are pulse-width modulation inverter and chopper voltage regulation inverter; from the resonant output unit, there are parallel resonance and series resonance. Various circuits and structural methods have differences in performance such as efficiency, power factor, and reliability. Although great progress has been made by using IGBT to replace thyristors and electron tubes, there are still some common problems in the induction heating power supply equipment developed and produced by most manufacturers.

1. Heating (hot forging, hot fitting and smelting)
